The Vanderbilt Sports Medicine Center is committed to providing unparalleled service to it's outreach partners. The commitment from this center is to provide local high schools with one on one sports medicine coverage. In other words, one certified athletic trainer per school. The education and experience of the Vanderbilt Sports Medicine Center's athletic training team offers the community the highest level of service available.

Community Outreaches

High School Outreach
The Center is committed to providing excellence in athletic patient healthcare through the outreach program. Each school is assigned a certified athletic trainer every school day - the same certified athletic trainer - and Vanderbilt Sports Medicine Center believes that the quality of care becomes unmatched through consistency. From middle school football to varsity girls soccer and all high school home events, each school can easily identify their sports medicine provider.  Our Nashville clinic currently provides coverage for 15 area schools, while the Sports Medicine clinics in Martin provide care for 10 area schools.

Community Outreach/Special Events Planning Team
Vanderbilt Sports Medicine has assembled a Special Events Management Team designed to provide medical coverage for athletic events occurring in the community. This team consists of six certified athletic trainers and is dedicated to the health and well-being of all active individuals in the middle Tennessee area.

Vanderbilt Sports Medicine is the medical provider for the annual Iroquois Steeplechase and CMA Music Festival.  The Special Events Management Team is currently providing medical coverage for Harpeth Futbol League Tournaments, Backfield in Motion, and cross country meets for over 2,000 athletes.  We cover a variety of charitable events in the community including Dierks Bentley’s Miles and Music for Kids, Heart Walk, and We Care for Kids.  Our staff also participates in corporate health fairs such as Coca Cola, Comcast, and Ingram Inc.

You may choose the services that fit the needs of your event.

Community Education
Through the outreach program, Vanderbilt Sports Medicine Center is committed to providing excellence in education. Vanderbilt Sports Medicine Center athletic trainers also engage in community education events from coaching clinics to the Student Athletic Trainer Workshop through the Clinic Bowl.  We conduct an annual presentation at Haynes Middle School and other schools through out the Metropolitan area.  Other avenues of outreach are various health fairs such as the All About Women fair at the Nashville Convention Center.
